This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 all dressed in black and gold one of the meanest-looking street machines of all times.

Of course. it's only better when it's a real-deal big block Cobra Jet V 8 with a close-ratio four-speed manual. tach. and plenty of other options.

The Mach 1 was the perfect canvas to showcase Ford's refreshed Mustang for 1969.

The body was stretched to have a meaner street presence. and this new premium package was not shy about its prowess.

This Mach 1 looks ready for the track with standard hood pins and flat black hood paint to reduce glare for the driver.

And of course everyone loves the desirable (and functional) shaker hood on top.

Mach 1 coupes were automatically given the striking Sports Roof fastback body. but true mean machines like this were then upgraded with the sporty rear window louvers as well as front and rear spoilers.

And of course. Magnum 500 wheels with pony center caps are a perfect to complete this speedy and period-correct appearance.

The Champaign Gold paint is a factory correct color. but the reason why it looks so good today is because it's a modern professional application that takes advantage of the added luster a modern clearcoat brings.

Add in the full Mach 1 stripe package. and everyone knows to give this black and gold mean machine a wide birth on the streets.

The Mach 1 was the most expensive Mustang model aside from the Shelby line. so Ford made sure that buyers got their money's worth in the interior. It starts with the comfortable high back bucket seats and the center console in between them.

As you step inside. you'll notice the exceptional condition of the carpets. door panels. and headliner. The wood appearance on the Rim-Blow deluxe steering wheel coordinates with the paneling on the dash. console. and doors. which all adds to the upscale ambiance of the Mach 1.

And you'll love the swing-away tilt steering column.

The AM/FM stereo and heat/defrost controls are presented fantastically in the center stack. but what you're going to love the most are the driver-oriented features like the Hurst shifter. center auxiliary readouts. and the full round gauge package. including the large tach.

This is an R-code Mustang. which means the big block 428 cubic-inch V 8 with ram air and a four-barrel carb is under the hood.

Cobra Jet engines from this era were famously underrated. so the impressive 335 hp advertised by the factory was really pushing a mind-blowing 400+ hp. It is mated to a close-ratio four-speed manual. so you really get the best control over the whole package.

Power is then sent to the road via Ford's Traction-Lok limited slip differential running a 3. 50 ratio.

The combination of the Mach 1 package and this big engine further sweetened the deal by automatically getting upgraded to Ford's HD competition suspension.

This beefed up the front spindles. shocks. shock towers. and anti-roll bar to make sure that this Mustang could handle the extra muscle. Ford even upgraded the package with the sport exhaust with quad tips (everything can be verified in the detailed Marti report included with the car. ) The cherry on top of this coupe is that all the power can be kept in check thanks to power steering and the optional front disc brakes.

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an e Bay auction and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.

If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred). cashier's check. or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
