1937 La Salle Convertible Roadster Project for sale or trade. Chrome done! Tons of new parts to build a wicked ride!
If you are looking for a big project and to build an amazing rare late 30's convertible coupe. please read on.
This rare two- seater GM convertible body features both a rumble seat and trunk. (GM's last year for a rumble seat. ) The body and frame is from a 1938 Pontiac cabriolet that uses the same convertible body as La Salle and Cadillac.
The BAD news: Due to the poor and rusted out condition of the Pontiac fenders and floors. we decided to save the roadster body and build a 1937 La Salle by using excellent parts from a solid California La Salle donor car. We started replacing the floors and rockers. as well as the firewall. cowl and rear fender wells. This project still needs a lot of fabrication work. including squaring up the doors. replacing rusty trunk/rumble floorboards. convertible top work. and mechanical fabrication.
This project includes a Helix Mustang II IFS Coil Over Stock 5 x 4. 75 Power LHD Rack with sway bar and four link rear end suspension kit.
The GOOD news: This project also includes an excellent and complete set of rust and dent free La Salle
body parts (everything you need) including the hood. hood sides. headlight buckets. front and rear fenders. running boards. doors. dash. cowl. firewall. floors and rockers. Best of all we have over $10 K in very nice re-chromed trim parts (still wrapped in newspaper from being re-chromed in the 80's) bumpers. bumper guards headlight rims. a perfect grill. hood ornament. hood trim. window trim. running board trim. all inside and outside handles and excursion plates for all doors. trunk and the rumble seat. The chrome is amazing. and would cost a fortune to find and re-plate in today's market.
