1970 Chevrolet C 10 Longbed Fleetside Pickup powered by a 5. 7 L 350 cui Chev V 8 engine and driven by a TH 400 4-spd floor automatic transmission.
FACT – “ The Glamour Pickups are hands down the all time favorite with Chevrolet pickup collectors. First for their refined. handsome styling but also for their driveability. quality engineering and excellent power”. It was in the Glamour Pickup Era (1967 -1972) that Chevrolet pickups made the major transition from being merely utilitarian to high-styled “personalized” pickups. America's love affair with the Recreation Vehicle (RV) was getting into high gear by this time and the pickup was the vehicle of choice for more RVers. The new 1967 Chevrolet pickups were referred to as “a new concept in personalized pickups”.
This 1970 C 10 is one of those ‘glamour pickups'. frame up restoration a few years ago. and painted in Candy Apple Burgundy. Featuring a 350 cui V 8 which was overhauled to a 385 cui only 10. 00 kms ago. Turbo 400 4-spd floor shifter transmission that replaced the original column shift and leather Lincoln Continental bucket seats.
Features include power assisted brakes. disc brake front end. power steering. edelbrock 4 bbl carburetor. edelbrock intake manifold. edelbrock valve covers. K&N High Flow air filter. B&M Hammer floor shifter. HEI Super ignition coil. extractors. Flowmaster exhaust w/ X-pipe. Lincoln Continental leather bucket seats w/ armrests. Pioneer stereo system w/ amp & sub. Grant steering wheel. billet aluminium dash & glovebox covers. alloy wheels w/ B F Goodrich Radial T/A tyres.
This truck certainly has eye-appeal. and is a ‘rust free' and straight body truck that overall is in excellent condition. it is reliable and runs. sounds and drives great.
