1956 Chevrolet Nomad for sale
Current customer rating:
Up for auction is this rare and desirable 1956 Chevy Nomad 2-door station wagon in excellent condition. It features wide white wall tires. AM push-button radio. original wheels and hubcaps. original engine and original Powerglide transmission. 265 CI/205 horsepower. 4 bbl. Carter carburetor with power pack. Only 7. 86 of these Nomads were made in 1956. so owning one is a great experience and a great investment. As a small woman. I can tell you that this car drives great and handles very easily. It is very comfortable and easy to drive. And what a looker! It also comes with an extra set of hubcaps.
The Nomad has all original major parts. except the radiator has been updated. We have the original radiator which goes with the car. The engine and transmission were both rebuilt in December 2010. We have the paperwork on the rebuild. The Delco-Remey power steering/power brake unit was completely rebuilt by White Post Virginia restoration slightly over a year ago. Also comes with the 1956 Owners Manual. which appears to be a reproduction (in perfect shape). The second-row passenger seat folds down for extra storage space. The car is in overall very good condition. The transmission oil can leak a little if the car is not driven regularly. I've been told this is normal for Nomads. Also some pitting on the rear window. along with a small ding (see photos). The paint job is very good in Sherwood green and India ivory. This cool classic is a great investment and a whole lot of fun to drive.
