1963 VOLKSWAGEN SPLITSCREEN DOUBLE CAB for sale

1963 Crew Cab VW Splitty. Awesome vehicle. I brought it over from the U. S in 2009. T3D then took it and installed the Porsche-Fan engine which give it quite a bit of grunt!If you want a splitty you can take for a quiet Sunday cruise to get your papers & milk then this is not the vehicle for you! It is loud. low and mean! Drives fantastic. Very low to the ground but does not loose any of it's handling it travels along like a dream. It has the 2. 1 Porsche-Fan engine with Rancho box which connects with all gears as it should every time without problem.  Inside the cab is as you would imagine. kept to the bare minimum. The seats are all original with a couple of very small pin prick holes in the vinyl but this does not detract from the bus. in fact it adds to its stance. It is in original ratty condition with its red paint burnt off by the american sun. A real head turner with there being nothing else like it ! Being 1963 it is of course tax free. The tax that is on the bus runs until 31/1/14 and there is nothing more pleasurable than standing in that long Que at the Post Office to get your tax knowing it is FREE!!!! The MOT has run out as I forgot but it is going in and I will be selling it with a new MOT on it. (That is how confident I am it will pass!!) The side panels are all good and solid as is the bed.  Safaris to the front and sides. Large roof rack on top with lots of bits to complete the look of this awesome bus.  Tyres are all good as are the wheels.  Like I said. a real head turner. A serious bus for a serious Dubber! Please feel free to ask me any questions you have and I will answer as soon as I can. The vehicle has been looked after by Ollie at Beetle Magic in Dorchester so anyone who knows the guys there will know what a high level of work they put out! This aint no rot box. a genuine one off real rat bus. No over seas bids. No I will not take it to the docks and wait for you there with the money. No I don't want to swap it for a golf. No you cant pay me later when you have the money!  Only reason I am selling is we now want a camper and have our eye on one locally. so. Ratty has to go!   Thanks for looking. I am sure I have missed something but here we go. The Bus is in Somerset. around the Yeovil area. Viewing by appointment.
