When Hollywood decided to make a new Ghostbusters movie there was one thing that was certain to remain in the lead role and that was the infamous Ecto-1 Cadillac. Although this new Ghostbusting reincarnation does not have all the fins and curves of the original 59' Miller-Meteor Ambulance we can guarantee that it does turn as many heads (and it's much nicer to drive!).

This Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Replica is based on the car from the brand new 2016 movie directed by Paul Feig and featuring the first all-female cast including Melissa Mc Carthy. Kristen Wiig. Kate Mc Kinnon and Leslie Jones. Although it looks like something from the 1970 s or 80 s. this GB recreation is in fact based on a 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Hearse built by Superior Coachbuilders in the States. The car has 50. 00 genuine original miles on the clock and drives like an absolute dream. As the car was previously used as a Hearse in West Plains. Missouri it has been extremely well cared for and its condition is first class. The engine purrs quietly. the automatic gears shift smoothly and the suspension is as soft as Marshmallow man himself. Overall very comfortable to drive. Inside the interior has the original blue brocade with electric windows and seats. A very high spec car for the early 90 s.

This project has been a labour of love for us and has taken a great deal of time and patience to complete. The car has been professionally wrapped in white vinyl with full Ghostbusters decals and comes with white-wall tyres and the original red steel Cadillac wheels with modified chrome hubcaps to match the original movie car. A brand-new vinyl roof really sets the car off and with a hand built roof rack. featuring all of the props. ladders. flashing lights and sirens. this car is a real show stopper. The car also comes with interior MP 3 player and a PA System that can play music (usually the Ghostbusters theme) through an external speaker. To top it all off the car has an official Ghost Emblem / Bonnet mascot at the front that we were extremely lucky to obtain directly from the film company. An extremely collectable item.

According to the Vin the Cadillac was built at the Lansing. Michigan plant in 1991 as a four-door sedan before a conversion by Superior Coach company to hearse. Under the bonnet is a 305 cu in V 8 with about 172 bhp.

Since completion we have been hiring the car out through the Star Car Hire website and so far it has generated lots of business doing events. promo work for film companies and even weddings!! It's a great earner and although I'll probably end up regretting it. the time has now come to move it on for someone else to enjoy.
