Hot rod, classic car, custom Morris Oxford for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 762 votes

For sale is my hot rod. It took the builder 13 years to complete and is running beautifully. It is taxed MOT'd and insured. With all the mods declared it only costs me £109 per year. It has all the correct documentation from Swansea on the log book re engine change etc.

It started life in 1949 as a 4 door Morris Oxford. The builder. a pro street drag chassis builder. then removed the rear doors. elongated the front door to suit. dropped and moved forward the roof line. split screens front and rear and a peak over the front. widened the front and rear wings. uilt the most amazing side sills etc. The list of modifications goes on and on. so I will let he photos do the talking. so much better than me rambling on. I will say though that all the body work. bumper front and rear wings and all the modifications are all steel. and I cannot find any rust anywhere on the car what so ever. It has been built properly and to last.

It is great to drive and was bought as my daily. but I now need to keep the Defender to use as a tow vehicle.

The seats inside are really comfy. the rear seat are a split fold down unit so you can really carry some gear to shows if you want. it has seat belts front and rear. a tilt steering column and fully adjustable seats.  It has a tow bar fitted too.

Everything is wired up. and works perfectly. For example the windscreen wiper motor is from a smart car so it has a two speed wiper system with intermittent.

All the bright work is stainless steel and was crafted for this car. It all looks so amazing

It has a rear fan beneath the rear window to demist. and a heater up front from a Maestro Diesel. In fact most of the mechanical components of the car including the engine. running gear. suspension. wiring are from a 1990 Maestro diesel clubman. This is so well suited to this kind of car. so easy and cheap to fix anything. and will just keep on going It runs really well and gives amazing MPG. I have just done a 400 mile trip last weekend. in the hottest weather possible and it ran like a clock. Very pleased.

I have boxes of spares. like rear struts. brake pads and shoes. bearings. hoses; both water and brake. clutch cable and lots lots more.

I have replaced the front down pipe. Maestro. the centre section is good and the rear is a custom stainless steel. It makes a wonderful sound out of the twin exhausts. I also had the front bearings all brake pads. steering gater and lower ball joints changed. then tracked.

I have started on the door panels and have had a stereo fitted with 4 big speakers and have also started on the sound proofing. I have the rest that will go with the car. although there is very little left to do.

All the interior lights have been professionally wired up. as well as a boot light too. As you can see by the photos it has front wing running lights. spots and headlights. Very powerful too.

You can now see why I wanted to use this as my daily driver. It's the only on in the world. and you are never ever going to see another one at any show anywhere. The builder had the most amazing imagination. great respect to him. It took him 13 years to build. and the first time he saw it move was when it was driven onto the trailer for me to bring home. We have kept in contact; a really nice guy.

He gave me a huge list of all the parts he used in the build and lots of other docs. too .

This car is still a rolling project for you to finish. here are still lots you can do to this car to make it your own. A truly unique car. makes me smile every time I open the garage door.

I am sure you will have loads of question. so give me a call on 01451 821880 or 07515 854 449 always happy to help.
