Amazing. low mileage Volvo 240 GL.
The Volvo 240 and 260 series was introduced in the autumn of 1974. and was initially available as six variations of the 240 Series (242 L. 242 DL. 242 GT. 244 DL. 244 GL. 245 L and 245 DL) The 200 Series had Mac Pherson strut type front suspension. which increased room around the engine bay. while the rear suspension was a modified version of that fitted to the 140 Series. The steering was greatly improved with the installation of rack-and-pinion steering. with power steering fitted as standard to the GL model.
This particular 240 GL (Grande Luxe) is in truly excellent condition having been cherished and incredibly well maintained for many years.
Featuring buttoned leather seats. an expensive option at the time. catalytic converter. sunroof. a Kenwood radio/CD player and with lovely. clean Graphite Grey paintwork the car presents really well and with the rarity of these fantastically well built cars generating a great deal of interest in classic circles. it is certainly worth seeing.
