Sold new By Autohaus Claus- to Mr. Frau I Bauer
imported from Germany some time in the 80's and spent most of its live in southern California. most notably San diego. I have 2 folders full of service records. and parts receipts for this car.
This 230 sl eventually made its was to Texas where it has spent over 10 years under the same ownership.
This 230 sl is one of the most extensively documented cars I have come across.
This car has been awaiting to be restored and has been sitting un ran for the last few years. The engine does turn over fine. and all electrical seems to function The breaks do workand the tires are brand new. The hood is original to the car. confirmed by the number stamped. one of the fenders are original and shows spot welds. but the passenger side has either been replaced or is no longer viewable after the repaint. Hard top and soft top included. Interior is fair. with the rear jump seat present. I have never seen this in a pagoda. a Dealer installed electric rear heater mounted in the trunk.
