TRIUMPH SPECIAL- - 2.5lt 6 cylinder roadster. for sale
Current customer rating:
. As the title says this is a Triumph based roadster powered by a Triumph 2. 5 lt straight six engine bolted to a Triumph Vitesse 4 speed gearbox. incorporating Triumph GT 6/Vitesse rola-flex rear suspension and axles.
All this is then welded to a one off box section ladder style chassis and cage frame. Which was then skinned in aluminium sheet.
The car is registered as a 1973 Triumph Convertible so should be easier to register in Europe.
PLEASE NOTE. The cockpit is very small at only 30" wide so it's really a 1+1!! I am nearly 6' tall weighing 16 stone and although I can sit in the car and drive it around the yard I couldn't drive it safely on the road. Anybody over 5' 6" with over size 7 feet will not be able to drive this car safely!!!!
The car will come with a new 12 months MOT as soon as I can find someone small enough to drive it (LOL)
Due to the limited space in the cockpit I recommended you try it for size before you bid!!!!
The original car was started by somebody else who I think based it on a 50's style ERA racer. I took it on as a project for a customer who was going to take it to Spain. Sadly he now has to sell all his toys hence this auction.
Although this car starts. drive and stops it will need further R&D from it's new owner ie carbs balancing. tracking set ect.
PLEASE study the photos carefully as what you see is what you get. The spare wheel in the photo's is not included in the sale.
The car is stored at Swindon Wiltshire. SN 2 2 PN. 10 min from J 16. M 4
Thanks for looking.
