This low mileage 1973 BMW 2002 TII has undergone a nut & bolt restoration by one of the premier facilities. KORMAN AUTOWORKS in Greensboro. NC to the sum of $95. 19. 90 by the previous owner. I also have 32 pages of documented costs itemized on their work order sheets.
This is a really nice car that recently won BEST OF SHOW at Fort Adams car show in Newport. Rhode Island.
This car presents very well. even after being driven 5. 83 miles since its yearlong restoration from July 2011 to June 2012. The pervious owner drove the car 2. 39 miles and since I bought it on 11/11/13 I have put 3. 44 miles on it. This car has many period correct upgrades like Recaro seats. Nardi steering wheel. 15" Alpina style wheels. 5-speed gear box. etc. The previous owner also had some "modern" additions like a back up camera. stereo. etc. but I have never used any of them preferring to be "old school". I'm happier listening to the sweet sound of the exhaust and turning my head to back up.
I would like any one interested in this car to come and see it or send a representative to do so on their behalf. This is a very nice example of an iconic automobile.
