VW T 25 with a running and nearly complete GTI conversion.

I have installed a 2 litre GTi engine (2 e) from a Mk 3 golf. The engine only has 57000 miles on it and runs very well. It also has a DK gearbox from the 2 litre air-cooled van which are pretty much unbreakable! Mechanically the van is 90% there. it just needs a few bits to finish it off. and unfortunately i just don't have the time. space. or money to do it! As you will see by the pictures the van is very solid as it is a Bosnian import. It was a Bosnian military vehicle and used to be army green. It still has a few of the army touches which is pretty cool.

Good bits: Running 2 litre gti engine. with new cambelt. New battery New clutch DK gearbox in great condition New suspension all round Brand new whitewall tyres Good bodywork with no rot in the usual places Only VW i have ever had which doesn't leak any oil or fluid! Bad bits: Bit of the usual seam rash but nothing major Needs the gear linkage re-doing. but i will supply the parts for it. Needs the brakes overhauling as it has been stood for a while.

The van does drive forwards. so will go onto a trailer etc. however. i fitted the wrong linkage so i cant get reverse. ( I have the correct linkage in the garage) I know i will have missed stuff out so please get in touch if you want to know anything. and i will take pictures of anything that you want to see!
