Triumph Vitesse 1969 MK 2 for sale

This is my triumph Vitesse Mk 2. 1969 straight six for sale. I bought it half a dozen years ago with the intention of using the chassis and engine in a build of an 1950's replica that uses the Vitesse or Herald chassis and engine (look up Sammio Spyder or Miglia kit cars for an idea of what I mean). Driving it around in the meantime. so many people said how much they loved the car that in the end I didn't have the heart to convert it and just drove it as it was.
It failed its last Mot on some bit of rust under the door sill and the handbrake wasn't up to scratch. I have rectified both of these things but haven't got around to getting it back on the road yet. It is in reasonable condition bodywise. the engine runs perfectly and sounds great and I had the overdrive professionally overhauled 3 years ago and the gearbox was overhauled 5 years ago. It will even run happily on unleaded fuel.
I never meant to have to maintain and house a classic car without a proper garage to keep it in so it is with reluctance that I am selling it so that someone else can give it a better home and some more TLC than I can. They are getting very rare now with only a few left and it was once upon a time the fastest production 2 litre on the road. It certainly puts a smile on your face when you put your foot down. even if its not fast by todays standards. Lots of past paperwork included.
I'm not entirely convinced about selling it so. although I'm prepared to negotiate a bit. I'm not open to silly offers. You'll know if it's for you.
