Audi 80 B2 Sport, Excellent original condition and very rare.

Here for sale is my super rare Audi 80 B 2 Sport in an equally rare shade of Oceanic Blue.

The car is in excellent original condition apart from the addition of an early MK 2 Golf GTI steering wheel at some time in its life.

Engine and suspension totally standard.

The car runs and drives beautifully and is ultra reliable and used everyday. I drive this old car with the respect it deserves but have once or twice experimented with its performance and handling and was very impressed. On paper it has 112 BHP but is very light at just 950 kg's so really uses its power well.

It's a very revvy engine for an 8 valve and makes a lovely deep exhaust warble when pressed above 4 k revs. Very civilised quiet and comfy when you're not in the mood.

I recently completed a 385 mile drive with no issues whatsoever and with very surprising fuel economy for a car of this age. around 40 mpg on the long run I reckon.

I searched for a good 80 Sport like this for a good couple of years.

Problem is there are very few to choose from and many are basket cases. You will not see more than 2 or 3 come up for sale every year. Only selling due to a very unexpected change in employment circumstances.

The car has covered just over 137 k which will gradually increase as the car is in use daily.

Don't be put off by the mileage. From what I was told the car has been in regular use all of its life which is often better than something parked up in a garage and never used. it just means that regular maintenance has been carried out to keep it as viable useful vehicle all these years.

The car is not in mint condition but is very good for its age with just a few marks and scrapes and one or two minor areas of bubbling that are hardly noticeable.

Interior is close to immaculate with almost no wear to seats plastics and carpets. No holes or damage to the seat bolsters at all.

Original Audi over mats are still present and in good condition.

The last MOT on 24/09/13 showed only 1 advisory item which was slight exhaust leak.

This has now been fixed with a brand new (just last week) front and centre exhaust with invoice to prove.

No history with the car other than all old MOT's to verify the mileage.

Sunroof works and does not leak.

All gauges work correctly and read as they should for water and oil.

The car genuinely attracts loads of attention. I've had a few old cars over the years but this one gets loads of great comments from people who really know cars.

I love this car and wont sell it short.

It's very rare and the price fairly reflects that.
