Up for auction is our 1950 GMC project truck. This truck started life as a 3/4 ton longbed but we started the conversion to 1/2 running gear for the convenience of modern upgrades. The front end is rebuilt with 1/2 ton axle (6-lug) with new kingpins. bearings. and bushings and upgraded with an installed disc brake conversion. Front leaf springs and leaf spring bushings are also new. Installed also on the front axle is a power rack and pinion steering conversion. Included with this truck are V 8 and TH 350/400 conversion mounts. The truck still has the original 3/4 ton (8-lug) rear end.
The cab is in fair condition with mild to moderate cab corner rust and all of the glass panels have damage. Front and rear fenders are rough and my plan was to replace them. The truck bed sheet metal is rough beyond practical repair. The chassis is straight and solid (the front section of the frame up to the cab has been cleaned and epoxy-painted). Hood. grille. and front fenders/inner fenders are included.

We are selling this truck to make room for another pickup we recently inherited that has a lot of sentimental value to our family. so we need to pass this truck on to someone who would love to finish it!
