Current customer rating:
Offered for Sale is this gorgeous 1930 Packard 726 Sedan.
Originally purchased at Langhorne-Thomas & Co. in Berkeley. CA (plaque on dash) by E. G. Ennis. the car remained in the same family. passed from father to son. John Bernard Ennis in 1951. John Bernard then sold the car to Robert Erwin Brown of San Leandro in 1974 where it remained in the San Francisco Bay Area until 1997 when it was purchased by Edward Glick of Minden. Nevada where the restoration began. The complete frame off restoration started in January 2005 and was completed in January 2006. A photo album of the complete restoration showing pictures of the before. during and after process are included with the car. as well as an original spec sheet from the dealer and the sales brochure showing all the individual models of the 1930 Packard.
The car is absolutely stunning with its deep maroon body. black fenders and belt line. straw pinstripping and is draped in perfect gleaming chrome. It is a car that loves to be driven and starts up every time with its new Optima 6 volt battery and a completely rebuilt and finely tuned engine. All the lights are in working order. as are the gas. ammeter. temperature and driving gauges. along with a working windshield wiper and the pop out windshield glass for ventilation. A standard spare radiator cap is also included along with the legendary and equally rare "Goddess of Speed" hood ornament.
You can feel the power with the straight 8. 330 cubic in. engine delivering a strong 90 horse power with the low torque. easy shifting transmission that Packards were known for.
The car commands the road weighing in at 4. 65 lbs. and a wheel base of 127. 5 inches.
This beautiful Packard now resides in Novato. CA after being purchased by its current owner and is registered with an Alaskan Pink Slip where she was last sent to receive a lovely secondary restoration of the tan and burgundy interior. and a complete tune up for the engine.
While the license plates and original factory frames are included with the car. the antique AAA Copper Bear license plate topper seen in the photos is NOT.
