Andre Citroen bankrupted the company by forcing his engineers to develop the revolutionary Traction Avant. however as a result. the car was way ahead of its time. It is an iconic piece of history that was a technical and aesthetic triumph. It was the first major production steel bodied front wheel drive assembly line produced car. In addition. the interior french seating is "pres pour l'amour " or in English "ready for love" with a rear seat more comfortable than most couches.

Michelin (the tire company) took over ownership when they went bankrupt.

Vialla Philippe in France sold the restored car to Karen David of Beverly Hills. California in 1985

This classic Californian Citroen Traction Avant (or front wheel drive) was the favorite car of gangsters and gendarmes from the war era to 1957.

The Exterior Paint is in drivers condition. showing its age and appears to be original to its restoration over 30 years ago.

It has lost much of its shine shows some fading and wear but the car is very solid . look at the chassis photos . and unlike other cars there is nothing hidden under fresh paint. you get what you see.

The Exterior trim as well is original to the car and driver quality.

Suicide front door are very cool and open up onto a red interior.

The Interior is a combination of original and restored materials. the upholstery is very nice.
