FOR SALE
1959 Studebaker 4 E 2 Scotsman half-ton Pick-up with V 8 259 cubic inch. 122 inch wheel base.
Rare model with kick-down overdrive and a freewheeling gear box.
This truck was brought into the UK in February 1992. All duties have been paid but the vehicle has never been registered in the UK.
It was last registered in Florida. I've owned the vehicle since 1997 and was a member of the American Studebaker Club.
In the first few years I was buying new parts. as you can see in the photos: new master cylinder. set of king pins. all track rod ends. handbrake cable. complete set of spring hanger rubbers for back and front. engine mountings and gear box mountings rubber. inner door handle and window winder. clips for hub caps. 4 new stainless steel hub caps. radiator hose. regulator and wiring loom (3 parts).
All these new parts are still in boxes.
When I bought this vehicle it had a burnt out wiring loom. looks like the battery was put on the wrong way. Everything is there apart from the dynamo.
Starts and runs fine. No rattles or knocking and no smoking. A new exhaust pipe from the iron headers. It doesn't have the original radiator. Since starting it up 2 weeks ago it was weeping from the core plugs so it will need some attention.
Books. parts manuals. workshop manuals are included.
To view the vehicle please call Paul on 07885 638122.
It is situated 10 mins from Junction 10 of the A 1 M (near Baldock).
