Current customer rating:
Second owner since 1966 euro delivery. I have owned the car for 35 years. The car has been in northern CA it's whole life other than being built and picked in Germany by neighbors that drove it around Europe.
The motor was changed about 5 years ago to a solid running 1600 cc motor and we switched the car to 12 volt. Then when I added the 2 barrel carb. intake and Bugpack Mondo exhaust it became really fast. It runs perfectly. and the car is (finally after 35 years) pretty quick. Its is tuned well and and starts with the bump of the key. I think there is a small oil leak. not much. I'll check today.
The brakes have been upgraded to 4 wheel disc. it was very expensive but worth it.
The brakes are fantastic. so much better than the original. It also has Porsche style wheels (Fuchs reproductions) with hand painted Porsche centers ($66 each). The fuel tank was removed and replaced by a 4 gallon tank with baffles. it is located above to allow access to the master cylinder. I don't have the stock tank but it would fit. you just have to remove it every time you check the brake fluid. That being said. the brakes have not needed any fluid added since they were installed 3 years ago.
Drop spindles and a adjustable lowering bar have been installed on the front end. the rear was professionally lowered. Sway bars have been added also. after several were tried. the thinner one actually gave the most grip. Momo Steering wheel. horn does not work. I have the original steering wheel. Racing seat belts. It still has the 6 volt radio. No wipers installed. I have the motor. 6 volt.
I forgot to mention that the rear rims are 1/2 inch wider than the fronts. You can tell in the pics.
Interior is very stark. some carpet. 2 original seats. racing belts have been installed. Battery hold down and cut off installed. No headliner. There are a few pin holes of rust in the pan behind the drivers seat. Other than that no rust (other than surface) I am aware of. It is currently registered in CA.
