1948 MG YA saloon in black, showing one previous owner, for restoration

On offer is this unusually well preserved but unrestored example of the MG YA. first registered in Somerset in 1948. the green registration document comes with the car together with an older style V 5 log book.

The MG YA is basically the saloon version of the sporting TD but with only one carburettor. The four door saloon was very nicely finished particularly in terms of interior appointments and features leather seats and a wooden dashboard. In today's traffic. the YA will run at a respectful pace and hydraulic brakes make it a very practical classic. The particular car is in need of restoration but generally appears to be correct and whilst we haven't carried out a detailed inspection. the car certainly seems to be a very worthwhile project which will make a valuable investment once completed and ideal for club events together with Goodwood Revival and others.
