1970 RELIANT SCIMITAR 3.0 Litre "GTE" SE5 for sale

1970 Scimitar SE 5.
One of very few surviving. bodywork repaired and resprayed this year. to a high standard matching original “Manhattan Blue” metallic.
Almost perfect interior. headlining is perfect. dash board perfect. new center carpets but original carpets have faded slightly.
Electrics o/hauled. including all earthing points and new fuses by specialist auto electrician. Everything works as it should.
Superb engine with new engine mountings & s/s exhaust system. Chassis is perfect. it was professionally prepared and is not going to give any problems in the future. all body mounting points. suspension mounting points are 100%.
Excellent rebuilt gearbox and o/drive.
Gear linkage bushes replaced. Drives beautifully. fully adjustable Koni dampers all round. all balanced and each corner weighted and set up correctly.
5 new tyres. new shock absorbers and suspension bushes. brake lines and calipers / pads renewed.
Very Large history file and some spares to include a spare rebuilt gearbox. original steering wheel. and 5 A hubcaps.
This is not to be confused with the normal tatty and tired examples. this car drives and performs superbly. quite happy in traffic queuing for Prescott etc. or happy at 75 mph on the motorway at 3000 rpm. In my opinion these are so undervalued. compared to MGC GT's or GT 6's these are so much better.
Not the cheapest but one f the most sorted and usable examples you will find. Not in a rush to sell so dont waste your time with silly offers.
