Reliant Scimitar GTC 2.8 Manual O/D for sale
Current customer rating:
GOX 900 W was first registered in October 1980 so is now tax and MOT exempt. She has done 72,000 miles and whilst I can't warrant it I do have a service book, invoices and old MOT's etc that would suggest this is authentic.
The car is four speed manual with overdrive on 3 rd and 4 th. The car was listed as Celtic Brown from new and has been resprayed at some point. Whilst it is still very similar to Celtic the paint has a much deeper lustre than other Celtic I have seen and is really in period for the car. The tan velour / brown vinyl is in great condition and I have re-carpeted the car in the last 18 months. The black hood is excellent and was replaced a few years back, all three plastic windows in the hood are clear and in great condition. There is also a black hood cover to tidy things up when the hood is down. The dash has a mock walnut finish that looks good and takes away the black plastic. I've owned the car for around two and a half years and in my ownership amongst other things I have re-carpeted, changed all plugs, filters, belts, fluid etc and replaced coolant hoses. Last year the crank spigot bearing picked up on the gearbox input shaft and this had to be replaced. Whilst the gearbox was out the crank rear main oil seal and all gearbox / overdrive seals were replaced along with a new clutch cover, plate and bearing. The previous owner was a collector of cars who moved to Germany and took her with him. Whilst there the car did minimal mileage as he never bothered to put in for a TUV test however he replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders, all brake friction linings, all brake lines and hoses, fuel lines and hoses and four new shock absorbers.
The chassis is very solid with no concerns and being a fibreglass body there is no rust to the coachwork! The original fit Wolfrace alloys are all good and the still have the original centre caps which are very hard to come by!
She drives extremely well, always starts first time and everything works! I'm looking for somewhere in the region of £8350 for the car which can be viewed in the Fareham area of Hampshire.
