This 1955 Dodge Coronet is a 2-owner survivor. I am the second known owner.    You don't see many of these any more.    Chevys are common. but his is a different animal.  This car came with original  3-tone paint (white and 2 shades of green. and has never been repainted.   There is no body-filler (bondo or fiber) anywhere in this car.   It is in the original condition. complete with flaws that have not been covered up or messed up by anyone.   This means that whoever buys this car will get to do the restoration the right way or however you want.     It has the original factory motor with numbers matching.   As you can see from the photos. it has the baby hemi (red ram) 270 cubic inch engine.   The engine bay is clean. and the motor runs great!  The mileage when I got the car was accurate because the speedo was working at the time.   It has since stopped working and I have put about 600 miles on the car since.   The engine does not blow smoke. or burn oil.   The car is quick and can be quicker if you want it to be.   The automatic transmission shifter is mounted on the dash from the factory. and it shifts as it should.   It has recent radial tires. new exhaust that sounds great. recent (within last 6 months) complete front-end rebuild.   Overall the car can drive cross country if you wanted to.   The body needs work. but is has never been all smashed up.   The outer rocker panel on the driver side could be replaced or repaired. and the passenger side rocker panel has some surface rust.   I will include NOS replacement rocker panels with the sale.     I have the two missing pieces of chrome trim for the outside of the car. as well as many new pieces of chrome and brightwork I will provide with the sale. The trunk is solid.   The front passenger floor board will need replaced as there are a couple of holes.   The driver side is good.   The rear seat floor boards are fine. with only some surface rust.   They are not flimsy or weak. and Fred Flintstone cannot put his feet through to stop the car (Just a joke. )  The interior is complete but needs to be redone.   The backseat is decent and not torn.   However. original reproduced fabrics are available to restore the complete interior correctly and completely.   I removed the door panels to do this. but have become overwhelmed with other life issues now.   I currently drive the car around town and to cruise shows the way it is and people enjoy the car.   It is a daily driver!   The brakes are recent and stop the car well. Any questions?  Please send them along.   I am not a car dealer.   Just an enthusiast with a passion for reminding me what this country did right once upon a time!  That is definately a conversation for another day!  Thanks for your interest.     BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING AND TRANSPORTATION COSTS AND ARRANGEMENTS.   I CAN ASSIST IN LOADING.
