1967 Land Rover Series 2A 88 for sale

Limestone and white 1967 LHD Series 2A Land Rover 88 with unique "royal ceremonial grill. " I have not checked provenance. but trucks with this style of grill are rare. and limited research turned up that it may have been part of a  (British) Royal visit. I confirmed grill with Craddocks in UK.

 

I purchased this as a project truck 3 years ago. but have not had time to work on her so am letting someone else have a go. Price includes new parts listed below.

This had been a daily driver until maybe 4 years ago. when clutch (believed to be slave or master cylinder) went. and has not been driven since. Odometer is pictured at 31k miles.

The good:

- left hand drive

- mostly original!

- chassis appears in GREAT shape - see pics - which is unusual

- remarkably little other rust. which appears mostly surface

- floors. seat and frames. bulkhead. and door frames mostly good (patch applied to passenger footwell that can be seen from inside engine bay)

- body panels have character. but not any significant damage

- 5 excellent tires

- Rolls on and off trailer easily

- Lights work


What needs work

- clutch. as mentioned above

- engine does NOT turn

- otherwise not running. so not sure. but this is an excellent candidate for restoration

- Does not include battery
