Here we have for sale my much loved VW 15 window Splitscreen camper. it was imported from Brazil approx 6 years ago so is solid as a rock underneath not the usual rot filled example found in england.

I purchased it as a project about 4 years ago as I wanted to put my own stamp on it and have a bus for life as I owned one before and had to sell it.
I never intended to sell this but circumstances have changed and it is now regrettably for sale.

Whilst in my ownership. it has been gone through front to back.
Engine has been gone through with all service items replaced or upgraded along with new exhaust. J tubes. push rod tubes and seals etc.

Mechanically it has had new wheel bearings all round. brakes have been gone through. suspension has been properly lowered with new shocks. drop spindles up front and adjustable rear spring plates so can be adjusted to your liking. adjustable tie rods that were also rose jointed for reliability.

Its sitting on a brand new set of radar alloys with brand new tyres all round.

Inside it was fully spray foam insulated then a foil backed insulation was also added before new interior panels were made and upholstered throughout to make it warm in winter and cool in summer making it a very usable camper.

A full internal refit then commenced. full rewire with LED Lighting 12V charger sockets front and rear and volt guage to show leisure battery condition. split charge system so van will always start should you want to sit and listen to stereo all day quality 6x9 speakers in bed kick panel linked to a quality CD header unit in front.
Ceiling was covered in halved wine corks (took an eternity) and vintage beer mats which is a lovely retro finish but also a good insulator again.
All brand new curtains were custom made and installed on new metal runners all round camper.
Custom table neatly stows above rear seat in an overhead locker and comes complete with retro VW Splitscreen deckchair.
The kitchen was built from reclaimed wood to fit in with the vans appearance but is cleverly designed to house the smev sink with electric tap. integral drainer and gas hob. gas bottle and clean and waste water bottles are located in cupboard below along with cassette toilet which has never been used. to the left of them is a fridge which can run on 12v or 240V. if you are staying on site the van also has mains hook up lead so you can run all your favourite 240V goodies.
A rock and roll bed was installed and brand new cushions trimmed in a square pattern vinyl which ties in nicely with the feel of the bus.
To the side of the rock and roll bed is some clever concealed hanging space and behind that the worktop lifts up giving you plenty of space to stow bedding and pillows when not in use during the day. There is also loads of storage space underneath the bed for shoes etc and  2 large shelves above the fridge and water containers. There is also a large storage area to the back of the bench seat which can be accessed from rear tailgate.
Vinyl tiles finish the floor off and are easy to maintain rather than carpet finish.
Parts of the interior have been upholstered in hessian brazilian coffee sacks which look great.

Outside the bus is low. ratty and more importantly cool as a penguins pecker!
The graffiti was professionally done at VW festival at Harewood house by autograf. and the bus was named Joe after the artist who completed his final look.

You will not find another sorted rat bus like this. everywhere I go in it people love to talk to you about it when you could be parked next to a ferrari which they pay no attention to.

It is 100% usable in all conditions and is very comfortable and easy to live with unlike so many poorly thought out camper conversions.

Joe just needs a new loving owner that will care for him and use him as was intended.
This is an investment and prices are rocketing its better than money in the bank and you get a cool toy to go away in.

Viewings more than welcome but anyone wanting test drives must have have full insurance.

Please no timewasters. tyre kickers or nigerian millionaires. ive heard all the scams and I didnt fall for them first 300 times round.
That said genuine buyers will be more than welcomed with a good old fashioned cup of tea and biscuit.

Please call for viewings on 07973 379015.
