Classic Fiat 500 Right Hand Drive 1971

Reluctantly selling our little right hand drive classic Fiat 500 due to possible emigration to Oz and I can't justify taking it with us.

We bought this in November as a solid base with the intention to do some light restoration and a respray and have it ready for the summer.

It sailed through its MOT on the 23/01/2013. the only comment from the tester was very minimal play in the wheel bearings but he said they all did that from new!

It's of course a UK RHD car which are getting harder to find. plenty of LHD basket cases flooding the market but not many genuine UK cars for sale.

It's totally original mechanical wise. original engine and gearbox (non-synchro) and everything is in good working order. we believe the mileage to be genuine and all of the paperwork seems to suggest it is correct.

There is a little body corrosion here and there. mainly in the doors that requires attention and the car will need a respray to bring it back to fantastic condition. It had vinyl decals fitted in the past and the idiots at the garage simply masked them up and sprayed around them. so when we removed them they left imprints. our intention was to give it a bare metal respray but we just don't have the time to do it now.

Underneath is rock solid. floors and sills in great condition.

The interior is in excellent condition. totally original and clean.

This is the original 500F model with the more desirable round speedo.

All electrics work fine and the engine has recently had new plugs. distributor cap. engine oil etc.

There is a slight weep from the gearbox. again something we were going to take out and re-do but it is only a small leak. certainly doesn't leave a puddle on the drive.

So all in all a good solid little car. needs a bit of light restoration to bring back to brilliant condition.

Taxed until 31/01/14 (Tax exempt). MOT'd until 01/02/14 Loads of history and paperwork. including original owners manual. tool kit etc.

The car had one titled lady owner from new who then passed it down to her daughter. a short ownership spell while the new owner decided what to do with it before we bought it in November/December last year. been garaged most of its life hence the great condition for its age.

There is also a valuation letter included which valued it at £10. 00 Deposit of £500 by Paypal accepted and balance by bank transfer. or total payment by bank transfer.

All funds must be cleared before collection.
