1971 VW Deluxe Bus. Just finished a complete restoration. This bus is completely rust free with a recent tune-up. tires. and brakes. Ready to drive!

I purchased this bus from a mechanic in Saskatoon a few years ago and it ran well. but needed extensive rust repair. I completed the restoration myself. but have recently purchased a 72 westy so no longer need this 71. The 1971 bus is the most sought after model year because it has the traditional upright 1600 cc engine with the low light front nose. but also has front disk brakes. This deluxe model includes all the chrome trim and I recently purchased the correct chrome front emblem. It seats 7 with correct seat belts and all seats. mats. and panels are original and in great shape.

The specifications include:

- 1600 cc upright engine
- 4 speed transmission
- All lights and signal lights are working
- Horn is working
- Brand new Hankook Optimo 185 R 14 Tires with 10 miles on them (just a test drive)
- New front brakes. including calipers. pads and rotors
- Brand new starter
- New carburetor. points. fuel pump. heater boxes and muffler
- All original glass (There is a small crack in the lower front windshield that can bee seen in the photos)

The restoration included:

- all new metal panels welded. finished in POR 15 and seam sealed. No bondo or fiberglass.

- New inner and outer nose
- new jacking points and cross members
- New passenger rear battery tray
- New rear quarter panels
- New sliding door track and sliding door skin
- New cargo floor sections
- lowered and new Hankook Optimo 185 R 14 Tires
- Brand new coat of original white. followed by Mango green

The bus is currently registered in Saskatchewan. but located in Calgary Alberta. I can deliver to Saskatoon or Prince Albert and it is available for viewing and a test drive in Calgary.
