The Ferret armoured car . also commonly called the Ferret Scout car. is a British

armoured fighting vehicle

designed and built for

reconnaissance

purposes. The Ferret was produced between 1952 and 1971 by the

UK

company.

Daimler

. It was widely adopted by

regiments

in the

British Army

as well as

Commonwealth

countries throughout the period. This vehicle was used in the Australian 2 nd Division.

Vehicle history. I acquired this Mk 1 Ferret approximately 7 years ago and restored its condition to be fully operational including historical vehicle registration. No problems with transmission or engine (original) including drive flat tyres. The vehicle also has the original radio harness fitted with working internal communications (IC) system (very rare). Includes other CES items with the vehicle. Note the turret is retro fitted and can be removed if required. Selling because I don't have the time or space to enjoy this anymore.
