I am very pleased to be able to offer a Classic Mini that my brain keeps telling me that i should keep as they do not come along like this very often and its a very charming 1971 Austin Mini 1000 finished in El Paso beige and has covered only 52 k and had three previous owners. This is as close as you can get to the pure Classic Mini driving experience without spending two or three times the amount.
Genuine early MK 3 Minis are getting very rare and increasingly sought after as not many have survived. This one has had an relatively easy 44 years and it has many more years ahead of it. This Mini has not been restored which makes it even more desirable to me. it has simply been maintained and the outcome is a fantastic original example with lots of character.
On the road its a gem to drive. it is like stepping back in time. The engine is super quiet and holds 75 psi and the gearbox is also very smooth. The ride is very smooth and the Mini wafts along very nicely. The shell is also very good with fantastic floors. sills and boot. The bodywork belies its years and it still has its original wing mounted Desmo mirrors which are woefully inadequate but they add to the charm!
The interior is another bonus as it has been professionally re trimmed throughout including the seats. door cards. dash cards and the roof lining and has matching carpets. its like new in there. The original centre clock and switch panel are also un marked. It does not appear to of ever had a radio!
The Mini is fully serviced and has a long MOT is tax exempt and is ready to be enjoyed whilst still being a very viable investment opportunity. Viewings are welcome and i am happy to answer questions through here or on 5 or 01425 839617 (Paul) or through our regularly updated Facebook and Twitter pages.
Thanks for looking.
