I have owned this fun car for the last seven (7) years. However. I rarely have time to drive her. so it's time to turn the reins over to someone else.
Since I've owned her. besides routine maintenance. nbsp; I made several improvements of note:
added soccerball wheelsnew tires (9/10 but rarely driven)pertronics ignitionnew. more reliable Weber carb. (34ICH2). ('06)day/night Sonett rear-view mirror (for comfortable night driving)new front disc brake padssheepskins for the front seats (on one of the seat bottoms the stitches have come apart. I have NOS material to make the repair but frankly enjoy the comfort of the sheepskins so I haven't bothered).
She's not a concours show car but a very nice example of a Saab 95V4.

What's needed? An over the axle exhaust connection pipe (has a hole in it) & possibly a rear muffler. Both can be readily purchased.

Several good questions have been raised which I will attempt to answer here: -I will post photos of the underside of the car. -I have been told the free-wheel mechanism is NOT in place. I don't know. Assume it is NOT there. -There is a slight difference in color in certain places on the car & some over-spray so please assume at least parts of the car were re-sprayed. -I have been asked if there is previous damage to the car. I'm no expert. I don't see any but I can't say that there wasn't any previous damage. -There are rust spots here & there. For example. check the tailgate photo. in the middle. just below the chrome strip. -the clock doesn't work -the old cassette player doesn't work -the gas gauge works but flutters. I fill the tank when it's half empty to avoid any problems. -I use starter fluid to start the car after long hibernation. An electric fuel pump would remedy this. Otherwise she starts every time. -I'm not aware of any other problems ie the engine. trans. etc. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS NOT A SHOW CAR. If you want perfection see if this one is back on the market & be prepared to pay accordingly: http://blog. hemmings. com/index. php/2013/01/31/is-this-the-most-expensive-saab-95-v4-ever-sold-at-auction/ My car gets the same amount of smiles per mile. without having to worry about where I park it. for a LOT less money. :)
