1974 Saab Sonett

Hey All,For Sale 1974 SAAB Sonett III. Complete running and driving (sort of) parts car. Sold with Bill of Sale only. NO TITLE.I picked this car up about 3 years ago. I believe it was sold new in Grand Forks, ND and spent much of its life in Minnesota. The titled owner passed away over 10 years ago. The car was sold by his widow and went through several people before I got it. I have spoken with the son of the titled owner and no one in the family wants anything to do with the car. I tried to get a letter of testamentary from the attorney for the estate but got no response whatsoever.Although it is a very “complete” car that starts and runs it is in rough shape. It could be lot driven but the hydraulic clutch leaks out fluid very quickly. The gas is probably 10 years old so I'm amazed it starts at all. This car is right on the edge of being too rusty to restore and too complete to part out. But with no title I suggest buying it for parts. The driver's floor is rusted out from clutch and brake fluid. The trunk floor is gone and patched as is typical. There is rust in the fenderwells. The fiberglass is surprisingly good with only a few bumps and bruises and what appears to be most of its original paint.The interior is trashed although the door panels look pretty good and the dash has not been cut for an aftermarket radio. The glass is not perfect but it is all there.I did a WOT dry and wet compression test on the engine. Be advised that the photos tend to make it look better than it is.The location is Bismarck North Dakota. The price is $2500 or best reasonable offer by the end of January. MUCH OF THE REST OF THE CAR LOOKS BETTER THAN WHAT IS IN THE PHOTOS.A few people have come forward with ideas for acquiring a Title for the car. Some have suggested that there are certain States which do not offer Titles on cars of this age so a Bill of Sale may be sufficient to establish ownership. Others have mentioned that some States will issue a Title even if the owner is not a resident of that State. And Another option that has been mentioned is [email protected] I have never worked with this entity but it may be something for the purchaser to investigate. As for me, I have exhausted my Title seeking patience and will sell with a Bill of Sale only. If the buyer wants the paperwork that came with the car I can provide that as well. Thanks.
