Panther J72 Roadster 1978 left hand drive for sale
Current customer rating:
Founded in 1972 by Robert Jankel. the Panther Westwind Company produced a number of models. Panther cars often resembled bygone classics. but were in no way replicas. These were individually engineered vehicles of exceptional quality which utilised the engine and mechanical components from top line manufacturers.
Such was the quality of fabrication and the reliability of mechanics installed that. although few were produced. a very high percentage of Panthers still survive.
The J 72 resembles the Jaguar SS 100 and under the skin the Jaguar comparison is justified by the six cylinder jaguar engine. Designed to be driven with the peace of mind associated with owning a new car but with the esoteric vintage feel.
Our Left Hand Drive example is very rare as it has the triple carburettor E Type version of the tried and trusted straight six Jaguar 4. 2 engine. driving a four speed overdrive gearbox.
Finished in Olde English White coachwork with sumptuous Suede Green leather upholstery. this UK registered Panther has enjoyed many years spent in the kinder Spanish climate which has helped to preserve the structure. Now ready for the road following extensive refurbishment with a replacement clutch and full cockpit re-trim including carpet. leather upholstery & re-veneered instrument panel.
Perhaps the best example available for sale anywhere. here is a must-see example of the best of British hand built automobile manufacturing.
