The proportions of the E30 M3 are just right and with this example there have been some considered additions; optimising the aesthetic in keeping with later model variants and the cars homologation blood line.
-
This stunning M3 has been treated to a full fresh application of diamantschwarz metallic and the car presents in wonderful order all around. The underside is very clean and free of corrosion associated with these models.
-
The car has an original Evolution 2 front spoiler and under tray installed. complemented by genuine brake ducts and channels. whilst the rear of the car has a genuine Sport Evolution adjustable rear wing currently set at the ‘Nurburgring' position. Both the front spoiler and rear wing have 2 layer Carbon pieces from M3 specialist Markus Glaum. Finally. genuine electric AC Schnitzer mirrors round up the styling union of this super E30.
-
INTERIOR
Stepping over the M3 sill strips into the low slung seat is a drivers treat with all the controls clean. clear and easy to access. The steering wheel links to one of the most communicative and exciting steering racks and chassis available and it is no wonder the E30 M3 has such a loyal following and rich race history.
-
This cabin offers some excellent period additions including an Alcantara Sport Evo Wheel. illuminated gearknob and handbrake lever as well as new genuine over mats. The Recaro leather remains soft and supple and maintains proper original integrity. with no cracking or fraying of the stitching. whilst operation of the seat movement is clean and smooth. The rear bench and headrests are as new. with speakers and a rear blind over the parcel shelf. The A pillar covers and dash are excellent and fit as they should – not normally the case with a lot of E30′s. The door cards. sills and gearbox tunnel free from wear or marks.
-
The Bavaria C radio / cassette unit has not been tampered with; the only update on the dash being an air fuel ratio. oil pressure and temperature gauge that sits in place of the drivers side central air vent. there are two buttons now redundant. with brake ducts installed instead of fog lights and AC delete.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay is spotless and has recently been subject to a huge amount of attention and care leaving it in as new condition.
-
Having just completed the running in process since a full rebuild last summer. this S14 is markedly different to the 195hp unit it left the factory with. The build was set out to achieve reliable power without sacrificing driveability and the result is really quite something – excellent torque just shy of 200lb/ft with peak power at 255bhp on a still very tight engine. The build list consists of custom JE pistons. Schrick cams. Motorsport valve springs. Ported and polished ‘late model' head. 48mm Throttle bodies. 50/50 manifold and a DTM airbox running via an Emerald K6 ECU.
-
Having just arrived back from a full health check at Surrey rolling road. with Emerald guru Ed Ralph of Fusion Motorsport. the air / fuel ratio sits perfectly across the rev range.
-
Along with the engine. the drivetrain has been stripped. inspected and parts have been replaced or renewed accordingly with a shorter final drive differential ratio installed to compliment engine characteristics.
-
The gearbox is tight and precise. courtesy of fresh bushings and a new input shaft seal. whilst the clutch was replaced recently. A description of the engine would not be complete without mentioning the carbon airbox; just a sensational noise and a step back in time to where the car made it's name in the DTM touring car championships.
-
WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The classic cross spoke wheels have been recently refurbished. they sit as unmarked original 16 inch BBS ‘Cecotto' style with a polished lip wrapped in as new Dunlop SP performance tyres.
-
Front and rear discs and pads have just been renewed with BMW parts. accommodated by Goodridge brake lines. ensuring this M3 stops as it should.
