This is an amazing time warp example of the late model Karmann Ghia coupe having covered just 51 k miles from new.
Recently re-commissioned after a long period in storage in the States. it still wears it's factory original Willow Green L 63 K paint with great character and overall patina. The body is completely rust free. unwelded and original with floors. sills and arches all untouched from new. Unrestored gems in this condition are incredibly rare to find and the type of car enthusiasts seek out as they are only original once.
The interior is in good condition commensurate with mileage and still has it's factory original Blaupunkt Sapphire radio fitted. Mechanically the car performs well on the road and having been supplied new in Texas has the benefit of VW dealer fitted air conditioning from new.
All chrome is in excellent condition. Original sales receipt and part service records present.
These later model Ghias with the enhancements in build over the years are the easiest to drive and live with on a daily basis as a classic car. With front disc brakes. 1600 cc power. better suspension. headrests. inertia seat-belts and large light and signal lenses they are well adapted to modern traffic.
