This Hillman Super Minx Convertible is now super rare . n fact i cant remember the last time i saw one . It has had alot spent on it recently . robably more than our asking price . Main work includes Complete quality repaint . re chroming . powder coated wheels with new tyres. new hood. new interior . ew carpets . recent mechanical work includes flush out of fuel tank . ew lines and new eletric fuel pump. The car runs lovely . e believe the mileage to be correct though we dont have this documented. This is an original convertible that is good enough to show . Parts are readily available and will make someone very cheap classic car motoring . The valuable reg number is its original and is transferable . . It will remain with the car as long as our asking price is achieved.
Engine & Transmission
The engine and gearbox are functioning just as they should . There are no untoward noises or rattles . The fuel system has recently had an overhaul and a more reliable electric pump has now been fitted .
The original steel wheels have all been powder coated in their original silver . o last for many years. All the chrome trims are new . The tyres are all matching firestones and done hardly any miles since being put on.
The previous owner was a professional body restorer/painter . This was his own project done when he was not too busy . The body is super straight and the paint is immaculate . Most of the brightwork inc the bumpers have been replaced for new or re-chromed . All other exterior features are 1st class. ncluding a new hood. the glass. ight lenses etc etc . The stance of the car with hood up or down is fantastic. There is an original toneau cover for the hood and there is matching fabric to have a new one cut should you desire.
The interior is in very good shape . Having had a full retrim to the seats. oor cards and rear side trim and dash top . New wool carpets have been fitted . The dash is all original as are the gagues etc .
