1970 Mercedes Benz 280SE 3. 5 Coupe
I recently acquired this 3. 5 Coupe from a collector whose collection included several Mercedes. Porsche. Jaguar and Ferrari.  He maintained this 3. 5 Coupe as a driver for many (in excess of 20) years. This 280se is a honest and original car with a few small exceptions to suit the previous owner's taste. The previous owner added an aftermarket electric sunroof and changed the color combination to Blue over Parchment Leather.  
The paint and body are excellent for a driver level car. The paint is smooth. glossy and polishes nicely. There is the occasional imperfection; however. you could enter the coupe in a local show without hesitation. My recommendation is to enjoy the Coupe as it is and. when the time comes. remove the aftermarket sunroof and repaint the Coupe in the very desirable and original 834G Moss Green. The undercarriage is clean. solid and original. There is no sign of rust or any previous rust repair!
The Interior was recently redone in Parchment Leather. The Leather is supple and simply wonderful! I would recommend the carpets be steam-cleaned and a new set of floor mats be fitted. The wood is a bit dry and acceptable for a driver; a simple refinishing would really compliment the new leather.
Mechanically. as you can see in the video and photographs. I have driven this Coupe for over 50 miles. up to 80mph. without issue. The Coupe pulls strong up to 80 mph and handles well. The A/C even blows cold! The only repair I noticed would be replacement/adjustment of the heater control levers.

I consider this an excellent 3. 5 Coupe to enjoy as driver level or restore to factory standards! Either way. this Coupe is a solid investment on a classic that continues to appreciate in value with Haggerty valuing the 3. 5 at $42. 00 for Condition 3. $67. 00 for Condition 2 and $91. 00 for Condition 1.
