In 1968 Baldwin Chevrolet was building High Performance cars such as the Phase III Corvette and also selling the parts in catalogs so you could build one for yourself . They would take a new small block Corvette and install a 427 in them. Some had radical front ends with plastic covered headlights on top of the fenders  Every car was a little different with each build. hey were not all the same. ome had side pipes. ome had side skirts Some had stock hoods. ome had custom hoods Even the self-built cars are worth big bucks. ven Dana Mecum owned a 68 Motion Corvette that was built from catalog parts at one time a few years ago that was appraised at 225 K that you can look up from super chevy magazine ! So that being said I am selling my 68 Corvette coupe. aldwin Motion re-creation-this car was partially equipped like this back in the 80's (engine. an. ront Spoiler. il pressure gauge. hifter)before people "Cloned"them and could very well be a "mail order Motion car" but it has __never__ been sent in for certification from Joel Rosen of Motion Performance so I am advertising it as a modern day Motion Re-creation Cloned big block 4 speed Corvette . Finished in Motion color scheme of Int'l Blue and white. Brand new Cragars on new tires. Motion ground effects (front spoiler and side skirts molded in just like Motion did them back in the day) completing the look. Thousands of dollars in new parts just installed this year including. ew door handles. ew wiper motor. oor glass. rear glass. ignition switch. headlight switch. ewly refinished gauges. ew working clock. ew radio and speakers. Real vintage Baldwin Motion Fly Eye air cleaner with new filter element and Baldwin Motion chromed aluminum valve covers(valve covers not yet installed but included) and new roller rockers. I even have the Motion red center aluminum fan blade that came on the car (a new clutch fan was installed but the red Motion fan included). I have a ton of paper-work going back to the 80's. Car sat in climate garage in Kentucky for years. It spent some time in Germany with it's service guy owner as he had it shipped over there and it was driven on the Auto-bahn . While in Germany the 427 block froze up due to not enough anti-freeze and extreme cold weather and cracked. nd I have the paperwork in German where it was re-built there using an early 70's 454 block and heads with the 427 L=88  internals- (crank/rods/pistons) and the performance hyd. cam that was installed in the 427orginally 
-I have a large amount of files. eceipts. nd paper work that has been done throughout the build that goes with car and goes back to the original owners. Mileage was said to be correct but I can not document that for sure so selling as not known if speedometer/odometer is correct.
- 427 Big Block Chevy (with 427 crank/rods/pistons ) it still is a 427 cu. in. even in a 454 block
-Completely gone through Factory 4 Speed M-21 Transmission with a Hurst shifter
-Nice Black Interior . ll gauges. ach. peedometer and dome lights. works as it should (horn does not work-needs horn button kit)-New wiper motor and key switch
-New Stereo system installed with speaker boxes behind Bucket Seats
-Factory T Tops with Factory Removable Rear Window and new  bags to haul tops in
-All Tinted Glass new Throughout with new rubbers and felts installed
-original  Corvette Wood grain Steering Wheel with new Wood grain Instrument Panel
-New Cragar Wheels with New Cooper Cobra Tires
-4 Wheel Disc Brakes-solid no hit frame
-Long Tube Hedman Headers with new Aluminized Dual Exhaust exiting through rear valance
-New HEI Ignition
-Nice Chrome Bumpers
-Ground Effects
-Front Spoiler
-Paint on car is around 4 years old and is super slick and all under clearcoat. uffed to mirror finish. ot perfect but very nice
This Corvette is America's Muscle at its finest. Car runs. Ready to show and go. And Remember its very likely this car could be a Baldwin Motion Edition
which is a rare find!!!and would be a big bonus if it is. But as I stated. am calling it a re-creation.
I am selling due to the fact I had recent back surgery and it is very hard for me to enter and exit car and in fact I have only driven it a few miles as it is too uncomfortable for me due to the surgery so I regretably have to sell
