Nissan 1983 280zx Coupe Series II. T-Top. T5 / (Turbo Trans) 5-Sp 12k Restore Break-in miles (barely) You will see Black. Red. Blue and White which are the more common colors as hard-tops. This factory OEM color is extremely rare and unique in its production as Champagne (Reddish Beige Metallic) as well as a limited edition with T-Tops.

What's a 280zx “Series II” ?
The 1982-83 “Series II” by the factory had distinguishing characteristics with aerodynamics in mind. Overall. the new body design gave better fuel economy and high speed stability (one of the known issue from the first generation Z-car). This was accomplished through redesign of suspension. braking system performance and other improvements.
Nissan's Face Lift 1982–1983 This face lifted model has since come to be called the "Series II" 280zx. with reviews confirming that the 1982-83 280zx as the most sporting Z-car since the original 240Z of 1970. although the birth of the 240Z was in 1969. with numerous advancements amid the models of production.

The most defining driver to be associated with the car was actor Paul Newman. An American Academy Award winning actor. film director. entrepreneur . humanitarian. professional racing driver. auto racing team owner and racing enthusiast. Newman helped put Datsun/Nissan in the lime light and forefront early on with several national championships as a driver in “Sports Car Club of America”. with his road racing team. winning several championships in Open Indy Car racing. Paul Newman began racing on and off for Bob Sharp Racing team 1977. Bob Sharp Racing in 1966 was probably the single most successful Datsun racing team of all time. taking the G and F production races at the SCCA National Championships. Newman assisted previous Sharp Driver Elliot Forbes Robinson in a successful run in a Budweiser sponsored Can Am racing team. Newman in 1978 drove to division championships. In 1979 Newman took control of a Z car for BSR. winning 8 races in the same car while winning the regional title. Newman went on in 1985 to win the GT1 Challenge. Newman's 4th National Championship. In addition from the race track was Don Devendorfs' 280zx wins at the IMSA GTUtitle. tromping 9 wins in 13 races w/ 1983 IMSA GTO Championship. and actor Paul Newmans' winners circle in taking the C production Championship.
