The original warranty card shows this was sold brand new only about two hours from our showroom. It's a coupe that has stayed with this original family for nearly 35 years. It has only recently left the original dynasty, and because that was only to a dealer, your name will be the first person ever on the title that's outside the original family. That kind of history is fun to talk about, but what's really attractive is how this one also wears its respect with pride. The red paint is still the factory application, and while the odometer reflects the actual mileage, you can tell this one has only been enjoyed responsibly. So we'd all like to still look this preserved after more than three decades. Nissan had moved up further in the market with this generation 300ZX, and the interior really showcases this nicely. Plus, you have provisions for the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo and air conditioning (they will need servicing before fully functioning again.) And of course, we all love the T-tops, and this comes with the correct panel inserts and storage bags. This is built to be a driver's car that's why your seat power adjusts to the ideal position. The multi-function steering wheel is on a tilt column, and it gives you a clear view to the optional full digital gauge package that's pure retro-cool. This is the optional back seat model. Not only are they fine for occasional use, but also they fold down to give you extra cargo room. This extra luggage capacity combines with features like cruise control and the four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive to deliver a classic sports car that also is genuinely a great modern road trip machine.
Under the hood is the correct 3.0-liter fuel-injected V6. It looks just as well-respected and maintained as the rest of this car, and with such a good family history, it's hard to believe this is anything but the original powerhouse. It embodies the best you expect from a Japanese sports car with an engine that fires up readily, idles nicely, and shifts smoothly. The fully independent sports suspension and four-wheel power disc brakes make for a fun driver. And the power steering and well-done ride make it an all-around great driver.
