Werk Emden In order to keep up with the ever increasing demand for the beetle. VW built the Emden Factory to build deluxe export beetles for the US and Canadian markets.

The Factory opened in 1964 and on January 11. 1966 the factory was stopped to celebrate their Golden Jubilee Beetle.

The beetle stills wears the brass plate showing the 100. 00 th beetle produced.

Original but very faded pencil markings were professionally reproduced as they appeared.

Restoration of the Jubilee Beetle 14 month- pan off restoration.

Every part taken off. cleaned. repaired or under last resort replaced. 100% factory replication -- just as she came off the line January 11. 1966 Original Ruby Red L 456 with platinum vinyl interior and Pearl White L 87 wheel rims VW Museum/Historical Staff assisted in all correct paint codes for frames. levers. mechanical trim. wheels. etc. All original parts were saved and restored as possible.

Re-chromed bumpers. mirrors. trim.

Restored radio. gauges. etc. 1966 only interior custom made by West Coast Classic Rebuilt engine. tranny and all mechanical parts restored or replaced with finest available parts. VW Germany and Wolfsburg West obtained new or as new rebuilt parts Over $100. 00 in the restoration alone.

When I had a chance to buy this unrestored legend from Randy C Oldbug fame. I didn't bat an eye.

This was going to be my greatest restoration project and part of my collection forever.

Unfortunately. a property settlement has required me to liquidate the few cars left. with the Golden Jubilee one-of-a-kind included.

I have listed her for almost 1/2 what I actually have in her as my good faith effort to liquidate.
