Werk EmdenIn order to keep up with the ever increasing demand for the beetle. VW built the Emden Factory to build deluxe export beetles for  the US and Canadian markets.  The Factory opened in 1964 and on January 11. 1966 the factory was stopped to celebrate their Golden Jubilee Beetle.  The beetle stills wears the brass plate showing the 100. 00th beetle produced.  Original but very faded pencil markings were professionally reproduced as they appeared.

The reason for sellingI am a long time VW aircooled collector.  My collection has included dozens of aircooled VW's including some notables:  58 Beetle Standard and 59 Ghia Convertible both restored by Lenny C at West Coast Classics.   Several original and pristine Westfalia Campers.  Numerous beetles. ghias. Busses.  When I had a chance to buy this unrestored legend from Randy C @ Oldbug fame. I didn't bat an eye.  This was going to be my greatest restoration project and part of my collection forever.  Unfortunately. a property settlement has required me to liquidate the few cars left. with the Golden Jubilee one-of-a-kind included.   I have listed her for almost 1/2 what I actually have in her as my good faith effort to liquidate.  I must accept any reasonable offer--- so here is an opportunity to get an absolutely pristine. unique and historically significant vintage VW for a very nice discount.   I have several references that can independently verify the condition of this jubilee beetle if you are interested.  I reserve the right to end the listing at any time.  I am more than happy to discuss this car in as much detail as you desire.
