Offered is a California solid 1955 Packard 400 Hardtop. This is a Sacramento Valley car. rock solid. ready for an easy restoration. The car is serial # 5587-2772. with engine # 5587-2984. a proper 352 V 8. This car has been out of operation for many years. it appears that someone was in the process of replacing the water pump and simply put the car away as the water pump assembly is in the trunk along with the radiator. This car is equipped with proper period NOVI air conditioning which is a trunk mounted unit with intact plastic tubes to deliver the air. The engine spins freely but I have not tried to start the car. Keys are with the car. Floors seem quite solid. front fenders are unusually solid. it is complete with the exception of a small trim piece from the right fender skirt and the scoop portion of the air cleaner. The missing right rocker moulding. fender skirt. and proper senior hubcaps are included. The windshield is cracked. the rear glass is not installed but will be packed carefully with the car.
This is about as solid a V 8 Packard as I have seen. paint is weathered with surface rust in places. interior is good save for wear on the front seat. This would be a fun project to put back on the road with unique period dealer add on air conditioning. Please call Chris with any questions at . Car is in Nevada City.
