Feb 1968 Manx registered with the club as a real Manx. This buggy was built in NewPort Beach Calf. Built  by Meyers in his NewPort Garage and was serial numbered as such in Feb of 1968 only. No other buggies were serial numbered before Feb or after Feb of 1968 in NewPort making this a rare find. After Feb 1968 the company moved to Fountain Hills Calf where they were tagged with Fountain Hills label.
This one was registered and titled in AZ in Nov 1968 with the Manx Meyers serial number #M1435B832S as the vin with the 1956 pan vin (1143961) linked up to it. It has a valid AZ title and registration  for a Dune Buggy re- construction.
Buggy was stored for 30 years in a garage here in Tucson. recently taken out and painted (new) metallic orange and cleaned up. Original top that is painted with a Dap rubberized metallic silver paint! 1600 DP engine running strong with a solix carb on it. New wiring. plugs. oil. wires points etc. All new KYB shocks. new gas tank. and tires from Discount Tire. Wheels in the rear are fat 15s and fronts are 14s. Wheels are painted with black rubberized paint. Buggy has the original trans-axle and front beam. Empi T-speed shifter. Manx body mounted role bar. VW speedo. seats out of a Dodge Neon mounted on original vw pan seat guides. All lights are in working order with a vw bus turn signal on the column and LED rear lighting. Windshield mounted surfboard rear view mirror! The buggy gets up and goes. Great "old school look" for a classic buggy. Has that Old Red look to it. Don't let this NewPort Manx get away!
I will assist with arranging shipping with buyers agents. and will meet at Calf/Az boarder to hand off buggy if buyer is in the LA or San Diego area for a small fee
This is re-listed with a lower reserve price. This buggy needs to feel the sand under it's wheels!
