Okay. this is NOT for the purist but one for someone who wants the ULTIMATE RETRO MK 1 Mini Cooper Replica that they can use everyday. enjoy tax exempt motoring. low insurance and that be taken to shows or even put in a big spec engine conversion. The chassis has been set up to handle very well indeed and is more than capable of accepting a lot more power.

Unfortunately the original MK 1 bodyshell was too far gone and had suffered the elements badly. At the request of the original customer the car was carefully Re-shelled into a fully restored Mk 4 bodyshell. On January 2013 a photographic restoration of that body shell. mechanicals and build process was undertaken by Andrew Roelands and has just been completed.

This car has had thousands spent on it this year with receipts to prove. Some of the parts fitted are listed as follows:-

All new fixings and fastening were used and any parts that were not replaced have been fully refurbished. cleaned or renovated. The standard 998 cc engine and gearbox has been checked thoroughly and fully serviced (60-70 psi oil pressure when warm). The engine benefits from a Stage One tuning package that gives more torque and smoother power whilst giving more MPG (currently doing 45 MPG)

The original car had done approx 85 K Miles before being restored this year (2013). It has completed approx 200 miles since the restoration. We would keep it for ourselves but we have a rather larger family now!!

The car has retained many of its original parts such as Red Mk 1 Seats and Dashboard including centre binnacle. The original Mk 1 Headlining . interior mirror. parcel shelf. Mk 1 Rear Lights. Mk 1 Number Plate Holder have all been renovated and fitted to this Mini.
