1929 Pierce Arrow Model 126 Enclosed Drive Limousine

Purchased by the current owner in 1981. Restored with complete engine rebuild in 1994 plus new paint and interior. Driven less than 300 miles since restoration. This is the large Pierce 7 passenger limousine on the 143 inch wheelbase with oak artillery wheels. wide whitewalls and the unique Pierce styling making it unlike any other car on the road in 1929 or today.

Engine/Mechanicals: Full dismantle and rebuild of original engine (#A1515/123379) to original specifications. 125 HP Straight 8. All components restored or replaced. (See photo of receipts and engine rebuild pictures. ) Runs smooth and strong. No smoke or unusual noises. See video. LESS THAN 300 MILES SINCE REBUILD. 8 volt battery. Oil filter added. Restored starter. generator and fuel system. Transmission shifts well. Brakes stop the car smooth and straight.

Body: Body # 3000398. Wood framing replaced as needed. All doors hang straight and close easily. Body is straight with excellent panel fit. See photos. Painted in silver-gray and black with black fenders. Very elegant. New top insert and bead. Areas of new chrome. Oak artillery wheels refinished.

Interior: Gray synthetic mohair sewn in correct style. New carpeting. Excellent glass throughout. Division window with Pierce Arrow script logo. Restored clock. Bud vases. 2 folding jump seats in rear compartment. New custom trunk.

Accessories: Dual sidemounted spare tires with mirrors. Pilot Ray Driving Light (linkage not attached. ) Dual amber fog lights. Turn signals added. Custom made trunk. Windshield rolls-up approximately 3 inches for ventilation. Original "Helmeted Archer" Radiator Mascot.

New. this car sold for $4. 50. 00 (When you could buy a new. Ford Model A for $450!) These cars were of very limited production and today. few remain.
