The merger had its benefits but by 1931. sales were in decline. as was the entire American luxury automobile market. By 1933. Pierce-Arrow was back in private hands. The federal government assisted Pierce-Arrow by purchasing two limousines with bulletproof glass for FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. Pierce would go on to build just 875 cars that year. These cars really incorporated some of the greatest Art Deco elements into its styling. from the headlights to the bumpers to the long. decorative hood vents.

Examples of similar cars included Cadillacs. Packards. Lincolns. Auburns. Cords and Duesenbergs of the day.

Pierce-Arrow catered to every demand and request. even keeping special colors on hand for important families and only using those colors for their vehicles and no others. Most of the vehicles were custom. including the carpets. luggage. trunks. and seats. MotoExotica. com is a licensed bonded dealer through the state of Missouri. We have been in business since 1988 selling high end. special interest. pre-owned and exotic vehicles.

In the past. these cars were sold primarily through Hemmings Motor News and through word of mouth. We would normally keep a car and enjoy it personally for 6 – 18 months. With the increase in turnover has come the increased need of fine automobiles. We are constantly looking for exceptional cars and travel the country coast to coast in search of the rare and unusual. We find our cars through individuals like yourselves as well as classic car and dealers auctions. We do not purchase vehicles that we would not be proud to own ourselves.
