The car was acquired as a restoration case

by it's previous owner back in 1997. t was then over a 12 month period carried out a home rebuild . including .

interior re trim . new webasto sunroof with colour co-ordinated vinyl everflex roof . uspension

. ngine overhaul

. ifferential upgrade. 5. 5 x 13 Starmag Alloy wheels. Bespoke twin exhaust to name but a few.

The car was also fitted with a novel removable rear premium sound system that incorporated a muti stack

cd system.

The previous owner sold the car at 2012 after 15 years of ownership to the last keeper.

The condition of the car now:

Since 1999 the car has covered just over 5000 miles. two thousand

by the last keeper since 2012 in the

2 years

of his ownership .

The chassis:

Excellent' likewise out riggers diff . ngine . earbox mountings . uspension mountings all good

Shell:

The sill sections both inner and outer. floorpan . oot floor . alances. scuttle panel. A “ pillars /B slam/bulkheads/rear inner wings'/ door frames all good. /

Outer Panelling: the clam shell bonnet is still sound but has had work in it's time. /

Doors/rear wings /rear hatch/back panel all good

. there is a small crease

in the osf door ( looks very much like it has been caught in a car park by some careless person opening their door into it) there is also what looks like a small indentation below the rear wing swath line where it meets the rear bumper

.

I have tried to photograph but difficult to see

in shot.

Drive train :

Engine:

Superb! One of the best sound /smooth running triumph sixes I have come across”running Aldon Electronic ignition. suffice to say no issues!

Gearbox:

No synchromesh problems or unusual noises that differ from the usual mechanical cacophony that is typical of this gearbox.

Overdrive:

Excellent.

Differential :

Reading through the invoices the differential was rebuilt with a new crown wheel and pinion 3:63:1

So no problems there.

Propshaft :

Slight play in the hardy spicer joint . ot that bad . ut maybe good to change as whilst it did not bother me so much on a 145 mile road shakedown run it has a small vibration that manifests it's self at high speed ( again being hyper critical! )

Suspension :

Woodhead dampers/transverse leaf and front springs” look very good with no problems.

Electrical:

At the time of listing all working bar for the horn ‘ this is not the horn themselves but the horn push on the Mounteney Steering wheel ( readily available)

Interior:

Excellent:

As mentioned above the car was subject to a full re-trim when restored and it has certainly stood the test of time. the carpets. roof lining . seating door cards. rear

panelling

. ashboard . rash pad all excellent !

Webasto roof:

Excellent “ this was also new when the car was restored . ikewise the colour co-ordinated vinyl roof.

Wheels /tyres

Excellent “

The

Starmag”5. 5 “J

period alloy wheels really suit the car.

which have no kerbing. tyres very good' shod with 185/60/13's all round .

I. C. E.

As mentioned above the car is fitted with a custom built removable cd/multi changer system that incorporates

a sound cabinet with subwoofer. power amp. tc this located on the back parcel shelf

and on the rear luggage

compartment.

The whole unit just unplugs and lifts straight out !

Exhaust :

This again is a bespoke custom made system . hat looks excellent and sounds wonderful!

Paintwork:

This was sprayed by the man himself some 17 years ago in a cellulose metallic. he blue really suits the car'

Whilst it has good depth of shine it is not the best of finishes . ver the years it has had further localised paintwork.

The car is perfectly presentable to use as is but as the cars structure is so good and there is hardly a mass of panel work on a GT 6 . would repaint

.

On The Road:

Once on the road you realise just how small the GT 6 really is “making you think this

and of course a car from another era of motoring . he chassis is a lot less located that the later monocogue cars making the whole

experience a lot more of a living thing . ou ca not sit back and let it drive you ‘you are an active participant in the journey hence the appeal of the classic car” and when you master the gear change and find a nice sweeping country road “ where you can bounce the wonderful sonorous sounds of the sweet six of the hedgerow superb”

Conclusion:

The GT 6 is a very well sought after classic

and with the passage of time and interest around the world for the remaining as they become finite cars is very strong

. /

This is a very good solid

car that Is ready to use straight away and

with further improvement would make superb standard bearer of the marque

.

Many Thanks for looking and all the very

best with you bid!

Regards

Dave

Please note: the cars I sell are “classic” cars and by nature and age are not of the reliability that is

afforded to a modern car (apologies to the classic car enthusiasts for stating the obvious)

Do not expect the car to accommodate you like a modern Mondeo etc. it is 41 years old and comes from a time when you had to drive the car not the other way around”

It sold as a collector's item and due to its age not intended for everyday transport

With all the best will in the world whilst I would love then to stay totally reliable. but being old (like myself! )They can breakdown and you should be aware of this. if you have any doubt about classic car ownership or any of these facts kindly refrain from placing a bid on the car.

The car is as usual being sold with “No” Reserve !

Please Remember You Bid to Buy Not to Haggle.

Please note”

The description of the vehicle is from my eyes and my opinion I am only human ( I think” ) and could miss something that you might pick up. you are warmly encouraged to view and inspect the car prior to bidding yourself . I will do my utmost to accommodate you. once the auction has finished and if you are the winning bidder. you will be expected to conclude the transaction after being given this opportunity to inspect before the auction concludes. Please do not hesitate to call on : 5 to arrange a viewing.

If the winning bidder is not UK Mainland based. it would be possible to deliver the car to a embarkation destination of their choice. once payment is received and the appropriate delivery tariffs have been met. it would be up to the winning bidder to organise the necessary on-going transportation and paperwork.

Please note! With two previous bidders who have had successful bids on other classics I have sold and have been European mainland based. they did not complete the sale quoting. they did not realise the logistics for transportation to the European mainland

Please. Please. Please!

If you are based on the European Mainland and

going to bid on the car. please make sure you have the means to transport to the European mainland. also please make sure before you bid. that if you intend to road use the vehicle it can be registered in your country.

Seller's payment instructions

On successful bid. the winning bidder will contact the vendor by phone on 5 or email within 24 hours of auction end. a deposit of £500 will be required within 72 hours of the auction.

Payment and collection within seven days (unless by prior arrangement )

The payment will be either Sterling. Bank transfer (CHAPS) Cheque.

If paying by cheque. the car will not be released until clearance of the cheque. all payments in sterling.

Delivery is available throughout the UK and to ports of embarkation only. this is via Wye Bridge Motors of Hereford they are experts in Classic Car Transportation and have a “bed off” transporter especially designed to take the lowest classic.

If you require a quote for terms and tariffs to your destination please do not hesitate to email or call me : 5

If you require additional pictures. please do not hesitate to email.

Now for the boring bits. I only sell good quality classic cars and describe the cars as accurately as I can and sell with honesty and integrity (please read my feedback) I have had on now 15! Occasions individuals being the successful bidders on cars and not fulfilling the auction terms (no contact after placing the winning bid ) so wasting my time and stopping a genuine person getting the car. I am also sad to say had an individual who decided after winning the car thinking he could try and force me to sell the car for less intimating placing negative feedback!

I would be grateful if you could call Me on: 5 or email before you bid to confirm your intentions are bona fide .

Many thanks for your understanding.

Dave.

Jazz Blog:

Well my first listing for nearly two months ! I have good reason”

having just completed my longest and logistical classic car purchase so far “

The car in question I first set eyes on in Sweden summer 2013 this was by magazine as the car itself was so far north I would have to had huskies to guide me !

The agreement to purchase actually took place October 2013 but due to snow could not be transported south until late April 2014 “

The journey consisted of the vehicle being transported 900 miles south to Soderfors northwest of Stockholm where a good friend lives . yself flying to Stockholm . driving 740 klms to Gothenburg. take the 27 hour freight ro/ro ferry to Immingham then a 189 mile trip home to Herefordshire

So you may ask what sort of car got me so revved” up to warrant such a road trip

One of the most dramatic cars I have bought. enault Alpine A 310 V 6 Fleischmann. /

The car looks like it should be running around the 24 Le mans.

But not only did the car look fantastic it was fabulous to drive and never missed a beat!

Up and coming listings:

1979 Renault Alpine A 310 V 6 Fleischmann . uperb driving machine and very rare.

1973

Jaguar E Type V 12 FHC Auto

1982 3 litre Alfa Romeo Powered

24 v V 6

Lotus Esprit S 3 tremendous

power with superb exhaust note!

And for something different” listed now!

1999 . iat Ducato 2. 8 Maxi Elnagh Italian Coach built 6 berth Motorhome ( fixed rear double bed. double over cab. separate shower and toilet . ll kitchen facilities. full length awning . ir suspension plus lots more!
