The radio is intermittent and the electric aerial doesn't work!!!!

A truly stunning 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 3 Door which has been in last ownership for 26 years. Used sparingly until 2007 and then correctly stored until January this year, we have just carried out a very thorough and comprehensive recommissioning and it really does look beautiful.

Never welded, this 3 door Sierra RS Cosworth carries matching numbers throughout and really is superb! The panel gap is exactly as should be and the Moonstone Blue paintwork is just flawless. Front and rear bumpers are free from any damage, scuffs or chips and the black inserts are nice and straight and in excellent condition. Head lights, indicators, front fog lights and rear lenses are excellent. The bronze tinted glass and sunroof glass are all security etched with the registration number, apart from the front screen. We have fitted a brand new bronze tint screen due to the old one delaminating. The rear spoiler is also excellent and fits perfectly. Brand new black bodyside mouldings have been fitted and are unmarked. The sunroof glass is in superb order and completely free of the usual and very common water marks and rust marks within the glass. Externally, this stunning example is as close to a brand new Sierra RS Cosworth as you will find.

Internally is very nice. The front Recaro Sports Seats are like brand new and have benefitted from a top quality re-trim. Bolsters are perfectly shaped and as new. A newly trimmed headlining has also been fitted. Carpets are nice and clean. Period speakers have been fitted in the door cards. Ford radio cassette is fitted and the amplifier is with the car. A brand new quality alarm system and immobiliser linked to the central locking has just been fitted. The 3 spoke leather steering wheel and leather gear knob are in very good condition. The dashboard has been replaced at some point in its life and is in very good condition. All dials, gauges and switchgear are in perfect working order. The electric front windows are operating at the correct speed and without issues of being slow. A small mark on the drivers side door card is barely worthy of mention and the interior feels just as special as the car itself.

The correct and original 15" alloy wheels have just been fully refurbished by Lepsons LTD and they really are superb. The finish is just beautiful and they are like brand new. Correct centre caps and locks are fitted and brand new tyres all round.

With a full service history right up to going into storage and now fully recommissioned, it is fair to say that the history is complete. It is running standard apart from a stainless steel exhaust, k & n cone filter and Bailey Motorsport header tank. We have just had the following works carried out New cambelt New spark plugs, HT leads, distributor cap and rotor arm Fresh and correct oil, fresh coolant and brake fluid Fresh gear box oil and gear box oil seal New rear brake calipers, discs, pads, brake lines and genuine flexi hoses New front pads and discs and calipers were already new New fuel tank New fuel pump New tyres Newly refurbished front seats New headlining Upgraded group A head gasket and new bolts Overall we have spent just short of £14000 on getting this car to the level that it is today and the new owner can enjoy it with peace of mind. The radio is a bit temperamental and the electric aerial doesn't function correctly. The only improvement that could be made above this is stripping the running gear to get it detailed on the underside....if that's your thing...

With 5 owners since new and a paperwork trail to confirm ownership, this Sierra RS Cosworth is just beautiful. Complete with original handbook pack and stamped service book, current V 5 registration document.
