Mercedes-Benz : 200-Series 220SE for sale
Current customer rating:
Dreaming of a 1969-71 280 SE 3. 5 cabriolet. but don't want to spend $100. 00+? I might have the car for you.
I'm selling my triple black 280 SE 3. 5 L "clone". which was built from an original 1963 220 SE Cabriolet about 15 years ago.
All of the body and mechanical parts needed to make a 220 SE look and drive like a 1969-71 low-grill 280 SE 3. 5 were changed . with only a few 220 SE features to tip off those who know their Benz.
Mechanically. they added the correct the 3. 5 L V 8 engine (1969 vintage). 4-spd floor shift automatic. 4 wheel disk brakes. "Bundt" alloys. etc.
Outside. they changed both front and rear bumpers. added the correct grill. hood. the fenders and the necessary rad support.
Inside. they changed the front seats. center console and radio. I t also has period add-on A/C (which I converted to R 134 a).
During the conversion. body was re-done professionally during the conversion. colours changed from white/red to black/black/black. Front seats recovered. the rest of the interior is dyed black.
Overall. i t's a good driver. with solid paint and decent chrome
. Selling the car because
I just don't have time for it anymore. and have other projects to tackle .
