This is not a £25 K pile of rust in Montana USA. This is not in a glossy London showroom at £180 K. The car has been unused for four years. it was my intention to have it recommissioned in April 2020 but we all know what happened.This car was sourced from a dry state in the USA by the previous owner and given to the specialist Jaguar restorer Country Classic Cars in 1990. Subject to a nut and bolt restoration including upgrading from 3.4 L to 3.8 L with what is believed to be the engine block from a very early E type. The car runs with the correct triple SU's and has the Moss overdrive gear box. The bill a year later was for a staggering £55 k (over £100 K in today's money). The car is attractively finished in Old English white with tan leather interior. As you will see from the photographs has been part of small private collection of English classics and has been owned by me for fourteen years. The car needs re-commissioning, front bumper and grille chroming, also minor paintwork correction to the valance under the front bumper, that has crazed, and similar crazing to what would be the sills. I have been quoted £800 to tidy the paintwork. The car has not been started for four years, stored in a dry garage next to my other classics.

The history file is a 3" box folder that is full. during my ownership the car has been looked after by one of the country's specialists. Invoices for this are in the file along with the original restoration works. A nice touch is a period plastic cover to the handbook. The car is for sale as is, where is as shown in the last photograph.
