This is an unique opportunity to acquire this special car. Real Hebmullers are out of most peoples price range as they are one of the most desirable VWs to own. This is a chance to look the part for a fraction of the cost.

1967 VW Beetle 1600cc. RHD. professionally rebuilt (by Lou Barrow from Protomotive Engineering of Tonbridge) as a Hebmuller 'replica' in 1998 with some obvious custom touches . The car has only done approx. 3000 miles since then. The last owner bought the car at the Volksworld show following completion of a painstaking 6 year rebuild all the way from the chassis upwards in 1998.

The car was hardly used for 10 years and was always garaged and off the road in dry storage from 1999 until 2008. Hence the low mileage since rebuild.  

  VW shows ; In recent years it`s won 2 trophies  which is a testament to how well it was built.

It was featured in Volksworld magazine in 1997. VW Trends in 1998 and also VW Scene in 1998.

Up todate ; description / condition

mechanically the engine is  very good it does not burn or drop oil very reliable strong tight unit - Gearbox is spot on no whines groans or crunching clutch is also v-good too .

externally . From the ground up - floor pans . seals inner /outer . wheel arches. boot +spare wheel bowl . engine area. heater channels all of these are in excellent condition .

Body work ; Very good straight panels with good lines . oors shut nice and solid no dropped  door hinges at all .

however there are some blisters that have appeared here and there but nothing major or that's gone to far . o there is a little paintwork to do to put this unique vw back on top show form .

Interior ; grey suede with blue leather look doorcards & matching recaro seats all presentable but showing some age the hood works well and does not leak there is one  small nick but in general looks pretty smart when up .

This rare vw hebmuller inspired roadster is far from being a fibreglass wizard and the designer /fabricator /engineer . handcrafted this one off all steel body the work involved is quite mind boggling. So here is your chance to own a very unique Volkswagen that is ready to drive off into the summer sunshine !
